GIVING BACK

If there’s one thing each of our partners have in common, it's that making a difference comes before making a profit. This is a bold and important evolution in the way we view success.

It starts with being better for our world. Perhaps it comes with the wisdom of experience. We’ve been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and have seen first hand the impact of a profit-first mindset. We simply cannot keep doing business considering the impact it has on the environment.

Our generation created the deficit on the planet. It’s up to us to lead the way in not just levelling off, but reversing the impact.

At Concierge Connection, we work with manufacturers that prioritize sustainability and giving back within their mission.

We’ve carefully curated our list of suppliers to ensure that some of your dollars are going toward projects that support local communities and the preservation of our planet. Each company is proudly involved in either care for communities, landfill reduction, fair trade business, zero waste initiatives, environmental work, or a combination of these.

Hardbite Potato Chips Initiates Waste Reduction Program

As part of Naturally Homegrown Foods' commitment to reduce and eliminate waste for its manufacturing operation the company has partnered with Fraser Valley Biogas to convert organic waste from the plant, into biogas, a carbon neutral energy source produced through a process called "Anaerobic Digestion". The biogas is then purified to become renewable natural gas which can be used in the same was as conventional natural gas. The renewable natural gas displaces conventional natural gas which is used to support the energy needs of the plant operation, including powering cooking equipment to produce Hardbite brand potato chips.

Making Period Equity Possible

joni works with grassroots organizations across Canada, as well as NGOs like the United Way, to distribute donated period products to communities and people in need. Since March 12, 2020, joni donated over 101,000 pads across Canada — that's equivalent to supporting over 12,000 periods or thousands of people who would normally struggle to find period care each month.

With their 5% for Period Equity model, they also fund educational programs and research initiatives specifically focused on period inequity in our communities to make a greater impact.

Bassé Nuts partners with Kids Against Hunger Canada

Bassé is proud to be part of the solution to world hunger through the organization Kids Against Hunger.  All donations are used to provide highly nutritious meals to millions of children and families in more than 70 countries worldwide. We wanted to find a way to give back to those in need, therefore donating to an organization such as KAHC truly resonates with who we are as a company.⁣
